UAT Testing of an Internet Banking application for Malaysia’s Second Largest Financial Service Provider

Business Situation:
Malaysia’s second largest financial service provider implemented Internet banking application for customers to perform everything online with no need to go to branch. Testing was to be conducted on various mobile devices and browsers.
Challenges:
- Inadequate information on requirements in User Requirement Documents.
- Lack of business understanding on the new applications.
- Frequent requirement changes even during testing phase.
- Non Availability of Functionalities (Yet to Develop) during UAT testing
- Business team is new to the testing process
The Solution:
- Hastraa performed UAT of the application on testing the functionalities like Kwik Account Opening, Link VA to CASA accounts, Transfer funds, Bill Payment, Prepaid Reload, Send Money, Claim Money, Remittance, Kwik Account Closure.
- The approach for UAT testing is to identify the Kwik specific testing scope for Internet & Mobile applications and formulate a specific test strategy providing the standard methodology and procedures for driving the overall test management approach.
- Test Management, UAT Testing Services, Regression Testing.
- Testing was performed on iPhone 4, Android and iPad devices.
- Web Browser – Chrome, Internet Explorer
- HPQC ALM is used as an end-to-end test management tool.
